Known across the UK, Vietnamese street cafe Pho in the St James Quarter is the 32nd branch of this family-owned Vietnamese street food chain. A large opening into the kitchen shows off 12 hour simmering bone broths and fresh fragrant dishes rustled up from scratch every day. The namesake, big bowls of house special pho, are the stars of the show. Tender shreds of brisket bathe in a clear, beefy broth alongside enoki and button mushrooms, with added pak choi. The Hanoi classic of crab noodle soup is rich and red with tomato, floating with wafer thin steak and big hunks of tofu. And, do try the cocktails.
