Tollcross favourite The Blackbird has been serving up cocktails, food and good vibes since 2012.
It’s also home to one of the best secret beer gardens in town and has just had one helluva makeover and launched a new food and cocktail menus to match.
Three reasons why we love The Blackbird
1It’s had a glow-up.The Blackbird has been given a fresh new look and we’re up for it. There’s colour drenching and pop-art touches, new banquette seating for bigger groups and a wider bar with plenty of room for food and cocktails.
2The new menu is spot on. The all-day menu includes whole burrata with honeydew melon salsa and prosciutto crisps; pork belly with curried cauliflower, green apple and honey; and the staff favourite, fried chicken with house peach hot sauce and fermented pineapple relish.
3There’s a hidden garden too. Just two minutes from the King’s Theatre, The Blackbird is home to a leafy beer garden terrace which you’d never know existed. Add a new summer cocktail menu, and you’ve got a very good spot for a late-summer afternoon.
