Helmed by chef owner of the moment, Stuart Ralston, Noto proudly proclaims itself as a New-York inspired restaurant with a love for Asian cuisine. A Japanese influence is certainly notable in the décor: plain walls, a few artfully arranged twigs, the odd plant. The main focus is definitely on the food. The menu ascribes to the trend for small sharing plates, all impeccably presented and surprising in their own way. The flavour and texture combinations are a stroke of genius. Noto, the chef’s second restaurant has become as much of a success as his first, the much-loved Aizle. And tipo and lyla are hot on its heels.
