There are some restaurants that deserve cult status in a city, and Dishoom is one of them. Inspired by the cafés, grills and street stalls of Bombay, Dishoom has built a loyal following for its flavour-packed food and unmistakable cafe culture vibe.
Whether you’re visiting for a famous Bacon Naan Roll at breakfast or a late-evening Indian feast with cocktails, it’s one of the few places where queuing almost adds to the experience. (Reservations are now available, but there’s always room for a walk-in).
We’ve partnered with Dishoom to offer you the chance to win £250 to spend at Dishoom Edinburgh or Dishoom Glasgow.

Why we love Dishoom
1The food is consistently exceptional Dishoom’s menu is rooted in the comforting dishes of Bombay, from street-side snacks to richly spiced curries and smoky grills. From breakfast to dinner, the beautifully bustling restaurants are serving up laden plates of akuri and naans, melt-in-the-mouth grills, and fragrant curries made for sharing. Even better is knowing that Dishoom is a restaurant with soul. It donates a meal to a child who would otherwise go hungry with every meal served. It’s a thoughtful initiative that makes your visit feel that little bit more meaningful.
2A breakfast worth getting up for Dishoom’s morning menu is already legendary. We’d go for the unlimited house chai alone, but the new Breakfast Special of Haggis Pau is a joyful cross-cultural moment and another excellent reason to return. Richly spiced Dishoom pork haggis sits on hot buttered buns, served with fried eggs, crisp Carluke’s bacon rashers, honeyed chilli chutney, cream cheese and fresh coriander. It’s indulgent, comforting and unmistakably Dishoom.
3The new Vitality drinks menu In true Dishoom style, the drinks offering has taken AF to a new level. The all-day V for Vitality menu introduces a thoughtful range of functional, alcohol-free drinks designed to energise and restore. Expect blends such as the Green Fire-Not-Fire Juice, packed with Ayurvedic roots and shoots, or the Ashwagandha Mango Shot inspired by the legendary strength of wrestler Hamida Banu. Of course, if your visit leans more evening than virtuous, Dishoom’s late-night cocktails remain very much part of the draw.
